Description
Medicinally, horehound has been used for centuries to flavor honey as well as in the flavoring of cough and throat candies to treat coughs and sore throats. The perennial plants are easy to grow and will thrive in poor soil with very little care. Start in containers, covering the seeds very lightly and keep them moist until sprouts appear, then set the plants out after the last frost of spring. Plants prefer full sun.
Seeds benefit from stratification before planting to increase germination.
