Description
An old heirloom variety of heading lettuce with a crunchy, fresh flavor! Said to have been imported into Maryland around 1800 where it was adopted and stewarded by the Hanson family. Introduced commercially by the Henry Dreer Seed Company of Philadelphia in 1870.
